Corus is the new brand name for the joint-venture between British Steel and Dutch aluminium company Koninklijk Hoogovens. As signing specialists in this field, we were brought in by Enterprise IG, who created the corporate signature, to develop the environmental branding and wayfinding applications across the vast Corus network. Our approach was to utilise the superb qualities of metal as accents to the strong corporate red of the identity, whilst at the same time developing a clear and cost-effective wayfinding system for the manufacturing plants and HQ buildings in the UK and Holland. Sign guidelines were also developed to ensure consistent application of the sign system world-wide.
